About me
A lifetime in music
Hi, I'm Cat Chinn, the musician and producer behind Moments of Meaning. I've been making music for as long as I can remember: acoustic sets and open mic nights, headlining bigger venues with my band, then writing and producing for myself, other artists, and TV and film, across lots of different genres. I write, play, record and produce all of my own music.
A few years ago I started Moments of Meaning, my first ambient project. Life is so busy, and I wanted to make music that gives people a moment of calm and a way back to themselves. It began during a hard time, when my mom was ill. Music has always been home for me, and writing it helped me channel my emotions into something positive. That music now reaches listeners all over the world.
Alongside the music, I've been filming nature footage to go with it, and I've launched my own label, Relaxing Ambient Sounds.

The Seasons
A year-long audio-visual project that follows the seasons, connecting music with the feelings, sensations and pieces of nature that belong to each time of year.

Four seasonal releases
An EP or album for each season: lighter piano melodies, ambient texture and nature sound, from forest and rain to ocean, rivers and waterfalls.

Films to match
Travelling to film new footage on location through the year, made into music videos for every release, so each season can be seen as well as heard.

New ways to listen
So far my music has mostly lived on streaming platforms. I'd love to offer albums, extended mixes, and seasonal and nature bundles as downloads on my own website, and license my footage and music to other creators.
